FAQ

What photos do you actually need?

Four angles of the head: straight on, both profiles, and a three-quarter view — that last one carries the most information. The order page walks you through each one with a guide. If you can add a shot from above (it shows how the ears sit) and the one photo that just looks like them, even better.

What if I only have a few photos, or bad ones?

Send what you have. Blurry helps, old helps, a screenshot from a video helps. There’s a path on the order page for exactly this — John looks at what you’ve got and tells you honestly, within a business day, whether there’s enough to work from before any payment is taken.

What if my pet has already died and I can't take new photos?

This is most of the orders we get. You are not the exception — you’re the usual case, and the process is built for you.

Gather everything: your camera roll, old phones, family group chats, social media, videos — a paused video frame is a photo. You need fewer than you think. If the angles above aren’t all there, use the “I don’t have all of these” path on the order page and send everything you found. John will look and tell you honestly whether there’s enough. If there isn’t, nothing is charged.

Can you do cats? Rabbits? Horses?

Dogs are the core of the work. Cats — usually, yes. Anything else, ask first and John will give you a straight answer before you start an order.

What if I don't like the model?

You tell us what’s off, and we revise it. Nothing is printed until you approve the renders, and the balance isn’t due until then either. If the model doesn’t look like them and we can’t fix it, your deposit comes back.

Is the deposit refundable?

If we can’t work from your photos, yes — immediately and in full. If the model doesn’t look like your animal and we can’t fix it, yes. The deposit covers the drafting work, so once you’ve approved the model and it moves to printing, it’s part of the price of the piece.

How big is 6 inches? How big is 12?

Six inches is about the height of a coffee mug — a desk or shelf piece. Twelve inches is the height of a hardcover book stood upright — a mantel piece with real presence.

Can I include ashes?

We’re often asked, and we want to answer it properly rather than quickly. Write to us and John will discuss it with you directly.
